The moment we have all been waiting for happens tomorrow at 3 o'clock! Yes, that is right, the after school program that we have been waiting to start starts tomorrow! Thank you all for your prayers. We have felt and feel them as we have been waiting and planning for this chance to serve our neighbors.
When Rachel (the other Urban Dweller) and I arrived here we thought the after school program was going to run directly from inside the walls of one of the local elementary schools in the neighborhood. After time, the communication between the principal and INTRSCT's executive director completely stopped. We did not know for sure what was happening, so we prayed and waited and waited and prayed. There were phone calls made and emails sent, but we still hadn't heard any word. Recently, there was a meeting held between the principal and other influential people from the community. At the meeting, it was decided that we would run our program from a local indoor soccer facility. This facility is well known in the community, so we are hoping this will be a positive thing for our programs.
Once again, thank you for your prayers and support. We have all felt your prayers and know that God is in everything we are doing. Please continue to pray as we embark on this part of the journey.
